Well, I think that voting is clearly a very important action. Election day is an occasion to participate, although I find that in general the candidates for the presidency - at least from what I remember - have not been the best, the most qualified, however, there is always one who is better or more dignified than the other. So I feel that in that sense there must also be participation, even though many times the candidates are not the most appropriate or the most convincing.
The truth is that I don't like electoral campaigns, I think they are not honest, they are not based on sincerity or motivation, just on personal interest. Regarding the qualities that a person must have to run for this public office, I believe that it must be a person who is really committed, that is the fundamental thing, that has a record that one can really trust that person with and the good work that he/she can do. I like to believe that it should be a person who is integral, very complete in all areas, who is educated, who knows the society he/she is going to represent, who knows the history of the country, of its population. Who also knows and is clear about what is required and how it can be improved.
On the other hand, no, I have never considered becoming a politician in the future. I think that politics is very dirty, very dishonest and without social commitment, at least the government politicy, from that policy I would not like, but I would like to be an activist or have a much more participatory role, an active role in spaces where you can debate and propose real solutions with people who also have the same motivation. For example, in the assemblies of a neighborhood, a university or a labor union. I believe that from the small and collective one can make many changes, starting from the people, which is the most important thing. Returning to the subject of electoral campaigns, I believe that in order to really convince people and have them support you, you must be very transparent. Perhaps speaking from experience or from the place where you belong one could be a little more successful in that sense, and speaking from humility, from sincerity, from commitment, also the motivation propose things with a very different disposition and that can change totally the idea or opinion that one has on the electoral campaigns that are, by the way, very false, very plastic and they are quite disappointing because you don't see a real compromise more than an individual interest over the collective one. I feel that commitment, honesty and humility is the most important thing, it´s the key.
